Information on risk factors and complications is presented, including details relating to key lifestyle modifications that are recommended for all persons with prehypertension and hypertension. A review of the major classes of anti-hypertensive agents with information on potential ocular adverse effects is included. Recommendations for optometrists to use in supporting patient compliance with therapy are also outlined. |
